Abstract

Larvicidal activity of synthesized O,O-dipropyl (E)-2-(1-methyl-2-oxopropylidene) phosphorohydrazido thiolate (E) oxime and its analogues were studied against Culex quinquefasciatus. The synthesized compounds 1a-1r was first screened with three concentrations via 1, 10 and 100 ppm against 3rd or early 4th stage larvae of Culex quinquefasciatus. Then the active compounds 1d, 1o and 1p were further studied for their larvicidal activity with 4-6 concentrations ranging from 10-200 ppm. The LC50 , LC90 for the compound 1a, 1o and 1p were calculated by using statistical software Indostat 55.73, 46.60, 67.75 and 70.63, 155.16, 220.99 mg/l respectively.
